Province VII Board Retreat
at Hope in the Desert Episcopal Church, Albuquerque, NM September 2025
What a spirit filled weekend Province VII board members had in New Mexico! It was an opportunity to take care of business and spend time together exploring Romans 12:12, Be patient in suffering and meditating on Romans 12 with lectio divina. We had the opportunity to tour the Cathedral of St. John which is on the National Register of Historic places in downtown Albuquerque and see the illuminated manuscript of the St. John’s Bible. Of course we enjoyed
delicious meals together and some folks took the scenic tram up Sandia peak while a few rode the train to Santa Fe before the retreat began. We look forward to seeing everyone this coming spring at St. Andrew’s Episcopal church in
Amarillo, TX April 10-12, 2026. More information on our spring assembly to come.

Province VII Daughters Share Their Heartfelt Condolences
Dear Province VII Daughters -
It is with great sadness that we wish to share with you the news that Ginny Ellison's husband Jay died, Friday, August 15th.
Many of you know Ginny for her training and leadership skills throughout Province VII. She helped established several chapters here in Arkansas and has made many friendships with the different chapters. Ginny is a wonderful example of spreading God's kingdom.
Our hearts and prayers go out to Ginny and her family. We will be praying for comfort, guidance, and healing during this time and we hope you will join us with your prayers too.
Dear God, we lift Ginny Ellison and her grieving family to You. May Your Holy Spirit be their source of comfort and strength. Help them to feel Your loving presence in this time of need. Grant them peace that only You can give and the hope of better days ahead. We ask it all for your sake. Amen.
Sincerely,
Suzanne Spradling
Province VII President

Highlights from a Spirit-Filled Province VII Spring Assembly 2025
What a spirit and joy filled assembly that took place in Little Rock, AR at St. Mark’s Episcopal church! With a record number of participants, the feeling of community and camaraderie was evident. What a blessing to be together.
Thank you to all who participated and especially to The Daughters of the Arkansas diocese and Grace Chapter at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church (particularly Wanda Dunwoody and Debby Walter, diocesan president) for their hospitality and hard work behind the scenes. Thank you to our inspirational speakers: Bishop Harmon, Rosemary Rogers, and Jane Searcy (our national president); to our motivational workshop leaders: Rev. Dr. Joanna Seibert, Rosemary Rogers, Andrea Hale, Terry Krawitz, and Margie Roche; and to our executive and province board members for all their help in planning and executing the assembly. It truly takes a village or in this case, an Order, to organize and execute such a successful gathering.
Based on many the positive comments I heard, I believe we each walked away with a renewed spirit and dedication for our mission as Daughters, to spread Christ’s kingdom and the Good News.
Mark your calendars now for next spring’s assembly: April 10-11, 2026, at St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church, Amarillo, TX.
Thank you, Kelsey Leftwich-Yazell, our Communications Chair, for all the wonderful photos and videos!
Blessings and best wishes,
FHS,
Suzanne Spradling, Province VII President
